Pattern Rating: | I would definitely sew this pattern again | |||||||||||
I knew I had seen this pattern reviewed on PatternReview but when I started to write this review I couldn't find it listed. I did a fuzzy search for "wrap top" and found it, but with a different pattern number. My pattern is V302, dated 1999. I guess it is an earlier printing and the number has been changed. So I listed it here with the new number so that the pattern can be seen at the Vogue website. This is a quick pattern to sew. Edges are just turned and stitched down. As this stretch lace doesn't ravel, I didn't feel the need to overlock or turn under the edges. So, very quick. I didn't need to make any alterations other than cut my usual smaller size at neck and shoulders, larger at bust and hips. No C cup alteration needed on Betzina patterns. I was going to line this with nude colored stretch fabric that I purchased for that purpose. But draping it and holding it up to me, it looked frumpy. I decided a black camisole would be better. See also the photo in another album which shows the lace top with my irridescent suit, McCall's NYNY 3091 skirt, Burda 8988 skirt. |
