Oh no! Not another review of that twist top. Yes, I made it too. Just too tempting to pass up and I had plenty of the chartreuse knit left from camisole and gored skirt I just made. I chose to cut the size closest to my full bust measurement instead of my usual high bust with FBA. That is, instead of an 8 or 10 with 4 inches added at the bust, I cut size 42 (16). The measurements for this size are 2 inches larger at the waist and hips than I am. You would never know that since it is so tight. The front looks good I think but the back reveals too much. I'm not happy about those rolls showing. I found the instructions to be quite good. Perhaps because I have sewn many Miyake designs, the twist seemed very well explained to me. It is tricky to describe something like that without demonstrating it in person. Vogue struggles often when there is an unusual design like this. I think I will wear this even though it is snug. It is very comfortable on and, well, just fun. |
