Pattern Information provided by Ann Smith

Pattern Rating:I Highly recommend this pattern

Pattern Description: Vogue describes this as a partially lined, fitted skirt in three lengths with a left side zipper closure. View A has a shaped overskirt, view B a front belt and tabs, shaped hem, and view C stitched hem and shaped front and back. It is really almost 2 skirts sewn together at the waist. I made view C. I thought I might cut off the bottoms to turn it into view B which has the asymmetrical hemline but decided against it when I was done. I loved it just the way it was.

Pattern Sizing: 2 size ranges: 8-10-12 and 14-16-18. I usually buy a 14 in skirts but accidentally bought the smaller size range. No matter, I just added 1/2 inch to all the side seams to increase enough to fit me.

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes, I think so. Here is what the back looks like.

Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes. I thought they had it wrong at one point. Attaching the underskirt to the stay piece seemed to be inside out. But the instructions were accurate....just keep going. Mark all your pieces carefully.

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? It took me a long time to cut this out. There are lots of pieces. I didn't like that. It took longer to put together than your usual skirt also, but then it isn't your usual skirt. This is a great design.

Fabric Used: A very drapey olive tencel.

Pattern Alterations or any design changes you made: I shortened the skirt 1" only, which is less than I usually do.

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? I love this skirt. Did I say that already? I highly recommend it to any one who is looking for an unusual design that is very flattering.
