This New Look pattern includes a v-neck top with 3/4 sleeves, pull-on pants with pockets, a straight skirt and a skirt gore skirt which is the what I made. These are all for knits.

I used a chartreuse rayon/poly interlock from FashionFabricClub to go with the Simplicity 4779 top.

I chose the size closest to my hip measurement and the fit is perfect. The skirt is 6 gores which create a gentle flare. I think it is a bit on the short side. I have the waist band pulled down low and the hem falls just below my knees (and I am only 5'3"). If you are tall you may want to add some length.

This skirt takes very little time to sew up. I recommend it as a nice, wearable basic.
