Pattern Rating:I would definitely sew this pattern again

An a-line skirt with interesting inset panels creating an open drape at one leg. Sizes are 10 through 22 included in one pattern. The waistline is faced with a zipper opening.

I used a faux suede fabric with tiny holes perforated all-over. Although this fabric works out okay I would prefer a fabric that looks the same on the backside since the wrong side of the fabric shows at the drape. See Gigi's review for good fabric choices. See the skirt with Simplicity 5255 top here.
I'm amazed at how well this skirt fits at the waist with no darts. The curves of the side seams are just right to shape the waist, at least for me. I used a size 12 which was closest to my hip measurement.

As you can see, the drape is over my right leg. This resulted from my cutting the fabric right side up, not observing that instructions called for the opposite. It doesn't really matter except I would prefer the drape on the left side to correspond the line of a jacket opening.
